CARAMEL CORN
1 c. butter ½ tsp. soda
2 c. dk. Brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. light Karo 6 quarts popped popcorn (use less)
1 tsp. salt peanuts-optional (have never tried)
Melt butter; add sugar, syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla. Add peanuts at this time if you wish. Pour over popped corn, mixing well. Bake at 200 for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes while baking.
My kids love carmel corn. I will have to try this recipe and make a batch for family movie night. It is sure to be a hit.
