Recipe: Homemade Pizza Crust

I made up this recipe a while back.  It is very light.  I tried it with whole wheat yesterday and it worked wonderfully.  Hope you enjoy it.

Pizza Dough (can also be used for bread sticks)
1 ½ cups lukewarm water
1 Tablespoon yeast
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 ¼ tsp. salt
2 Tablespoons powdered milk
1 ½ Tablespoon oil
3 1/3 to 3 ½ cups of flour

Pour water in mixing bowl.  Add yeast, sugar, salt, oil and powdered milk.  Add flour a little at a time until the dough is no longer sticky.  Never add all the flour at once.  You may not need it.  If you aren’t sure, it is better to error having your dough a little sticky instead of dry, because you can always add more flour.  Let rise for 2-2 ½ hours or until doubled.  Roll out into pizza crusts or make bread sticks.  It makes two large pizza crusts.  Remember to roll the dough out thinner than you want the crust because it will rise.  Add sauce and any toppings you want including cheese.  You can freeze any dough you have left if you don’t want to use it at the time.  Bake at 400 degrees until lightly brown, about 10-15 minutes depending on your oven.
