Simple Savings: Keep a Price Book

I feel like a hypocrite making the suggestion to use a price book, because I don't do it myself. I think it is a good idea, especially if you don't know what a good price is for the groceries you buy on a regular basis. I feel like I know what a good price is for most of the things I buy, and frankly I am just not motivated to keep a record of the prices. But, if you keep a price book, you can save even more than I do. On the same note, if you keep track of what you spend, you can see where your money goes. I tried doing that a few years ago, and it was enlightening, but I feel like if I stick to my budget of $50 for groceries each week, that is good enough for me. Grocery shopping is not on my list of top 10 favorite activities, so I make it as simple as I can.
