I started December wanting to do some kind of Christmas countdown. At first I thought I would do preparations for Christmas, but I found a program that I really liked and have changed directions. This program is called Light the World and is sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Each day you do different kinds of service or share thoughts online to lift up others during this holiday season. With all of the challenging things going on in the world today, this seemed like a great thing to focus on. Please join and share on my website if you want to as well. There are so many people suffering in the world, and many people will have family members that will not be at their holiday celebrations this year as well. We all can do something to bless others.

Today's service is to skip a meal or two and donate the money to a charity of your choice.
After a challenging year for all of us, I love the idea of ending the year on a positive note.
