Simple Savings: Watch at the Register
Sometimes when we go shopping, we are charged the wrong price. But, if we don't notice it, we could end up paying more than we need to for something. Today in the grocery store, the clerk left my bag of apples on the scale when he weighed the tomatoes. He charged me 4 times more than I should have spent on the tomatoes. I think he was just trying to hurry, but I saved several dollars by catching this mistake. I also bought a few clearance items at Michael's, but when I got to the register, they didn't show up at the right price. The clerk was very nice and fixed it. It is much easier to take care of the mistake while you are still at the store, instead of going home and finding out that there was an error.
