Master the Mess in a Month - Day 7

Since I have been sick, I have focused on the easier rooms to do in the house.  Today was the family room downstairs.  You can see in the pictures that we don't have anything on the walls.  I want to paint it before I put some things up.  I am really not enamored with the pink walls they way they are now.  I would love to replace the old furniture, but we will just make do this year.  The armoire has music and DVD's in it, one drawer for each.  I keep the movies in alphabetical order and they go across the length of the drawer.  I don't remember the last time I purchased a DVD, but it has probably been years.  The reason I keep the movies in alphabetical order is because it is so easy to find one that way.  When I first heard the idea of someone doing that, I thought it was going overboard, but one day my kids did it when they were bored and it has been great.  It got rid of 2 videos and 3 music books.  I will probably get rid of more, depending on how much I use them in the next year.
