Simple Savings - Use the Basics for Cleaning

I used to use the cleaners you buy in the store to clean our house. The smells would bother me some, but that is what we used growing up. A couple of months ago, I switched and got rid of all of the toxic cleaners and replaced them with castille soap, vinegar, and baking soda. I don't have any problem with the fumes now, and I spend less money to clean the house. Another benefit is that my cleaning cupboard has very few items in it. It is uncluttered and is easy to clean. I just don't think we can use toxic cleaners like that without some consequences either for our own health or for the environment. It is a win-win situation in my mind. You are more eco-friendly and you save money and it is better for your health.

What kind of cleaners do you use?
