Pumpkin pie is my favorite dessert. Period. However, since this month is a time to try something new I found a pumpkin cake recipe instead. I'd call it more of a pumpkin bread in a pan than a cake. The mini chocolate chips were the key to this recipe, and I love that it uses whole wheat flour. I was expecting a denser cake but was pleasantly surprised by the texture. My kids each devoured a piece and asked for more.
