Simple Savings: Share Your Herbs

We have an oregano plant that grows in our yard.  It comes back every single year.  In fact, it grows out of control and is at the point of becoming a pest instead of a blessing.  One thing that you can do to save money is to share your herbs.  If I gave several people some oregano each year, I would still have more than plenty for myself and they could have their own fresh oregano and can share the next year with others as well.  So many people can benefit from just one plant!

Last year, my husband sold some of it.  People love organic herbs and it could be a hit at a farmer's market as well.  You can even dry oregano to last all year.

Suggestion:  This year when we planted herbs, we decided to do it in a large container instead of in the yard.  It limits the space where it can grow, but you still have plenty for yourself and some to spare!
