Conquer Clutter: How To Tell What You Really Use

When trying to determine what you really need and use in your home, one of these methods may help:

1.  For clothes, turn hangers the opposite way.  When you wear something, turn hanger the right way.  This way you know what you wear and what you don't.

2.  For cupboards and closets or drawers:  Take everything out of a certain area and put it in another room.  As you find you need something, go to the other room and get it.  Whatever is left after a month or two may be something you may consider getting rid of.  For example, most people have a drawer full of misc. kitchen knives, spoons, ladles, etc.  Take everything out of the drawer and put it in another place.  Each time you cook and find you need something, go get it.  If there are things left after a certain period of time, consider letting go of them.
