Simple Savings: Surround Yourself With Frugal Friends

I once heard that you surround yourself with friends that have similar values.  The 4 closest friends (couples) we have are very much like us.  Why is this important?  Well, first of all, you can learn new ideas from them and you both feel comfortable sharing them.  Second, they help support you and give positive feedback when you share your own ideas and goals.  Third, they are comfortable to be with and aren't ashamed or judgmental when one of you suggests to go together out to a place that has a special or good deal.  You don't have to impress them.  They like you and value you for who you are.  If you aren't already, think about surrounding yourself with people who think and act like you.
