Conquer Clutter: Refuse to Bring Things In Your Home

I hate to wash Ziploc bags.  I felt guilty throwing them away, but I hate to wash them.  The solution for me is to stop using them.  If I don't use them in the first place, I won't have to wash them and I won't have the guilt associated with throwing them away since we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint.  This same thing is true with stuff.  Don't buy it and don't bring it in the house unless you really need it or planned to buy it.  Don't replace items if you have something that works just fine.  You can save a lot of money as well as time and work by just refusing to allow it into your home.

  1. Just yesterday, I washed up my ziplock that had half a sweet potato in it overnight. Still would rather wash (and wait forever to dry) a ziplock than use one use cling wrap!

    1. O do agree with the Ziploc over the plastic wrap, but I would still rather use a container with a lid and skip washing the Ziploc bag myself!

    2. Good point - seems I need some more versatile sizes of containers!
