Catalogs and Junk Mail: Refuse to Let them In

One way to save time and to be more eco-friendly is to stop catalogs and junk mail from entering your home.  You won't get as much mail, but you also don't have to deal with the extra trash that accumulates from junk mail and the time it takes to sift through it.  If you stop catalogs from coming into your home, you won't be tempted to buy more and that will save money as well.  Where do you start?

For some catalogs, look on the back page.  There you will find your address and some other numbers.  Have those with you when you call the 800 number in the catalog and ask them to remove you from their mailing list.  For every catalog you get, do this same process and pretty soon you won't be getting any more catalogs.
