This past week, many volunteers have helped a few wonderful ladies who started a clothing giveaway in our community five years ago called "Thanks for Giving". There is a school gym full of clothing racks and tables full of clothes. There are probably more clothes than you would find in our Macy's store! There were a lot of clothes that were brand new. There are wonderful brands like Baby Gap, Columbia, Carhart, Gymboree, Patagonia, REI, etc. People in our community are so generous. Tomorrow, everyone in the community who wants to can come to the gym and take as many clothes as they would like. It doesn't matter if you are needy or if are wealthy. It is open to all.
You can also do a clothing exchange with neighbors or friends. It doesn't have to be a big thing. Now that the seasons are changing, it may be a good time to think about it. You can share with others and you can benefit from their generosity. Everyone saves money as well!
