Simple Savings: Little Bits Add Up

Image from Grace House

I like to use cash.  I find that I am more careful when I do.  One way we save money is by keeping the change that we get back when making a purchase.  My husband will deposit these in the bank and the money goes towards retirement.  It isn't a lot of money, but it does add up to between $200-$300 per year.

Another way to save money is, when you get paid, to put all the money left in your checkbook from the previous month into savings.  You start each month fresh and all the extra money gets put into savings.
