Recipe Swap: Terese's Double Chocolate Cookies

One of my daughter's friends was telling us about some cookies they made last night that were really good, and I got the recipe from her mom and we made them today. My husband loves chocolate cookies and thought they were very, very good. I am grateful to have friends who are fabulous cooks who are willing to share their recipes. Thanks Terese!

Double Chocolate Cookies

Cream these two together:

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar

Then add:

2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla

Mix the following below together in a bowl and then add them:

1 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
about 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt
2 cups flour

Then add:

2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups chopped nuts

Get a scant 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie and then press flat after you place them on the cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375, then take them out of the oven and leave them on the cookie sheet for 10 minutes to cool, then put on a cooling rack.
