Curried Lentils and Rice

One of the readers suggested this recipe to try. I am not a fan or curry or lentils, but this was much better than I thought it would be and a very inexpensive dish if you are trying to save money. It left a distinct aroma in the kitchen. It wasn't a recipe that made our family really excited to eat, but if you are on a tight budget it is hard to beat the price of this. I think I spent less than 50 cents for all the ingredients I bought in bulk, including the spices. I only made half of the recipe since I didn't want too much around if we didn't like it. We are going to try some other vegetarian recipes throughout the year. We are not used to eating curry in our home, but if you are I would definitely try this.
