Menu for the Week - Jan. 11 - Jan. 17

Our menu this week may sound a bit boring to others, but for the past 3 days we have been eating a big salad for dinner and then having just a little bit of a main dish after it. We are going to do this for at least a week and see if we feel better eating something lighter than normal. Ben Franklin said to eat like a king for breakfast, a queen for lunch and a pauper for dinner. We will see how it goes! I have less meals planned this week since I know that we will be able to use them for 2 meals each. Salad fills us up pretty well, so we aren't very hungry after that.

Homemade pizza
Tacos w/ homemade tortillas
Stuffed Cabbage
Rice Pilaf and 1 boneless pork chop divided in 3
Tamale Pie
Mimi's Cafe Corn Chowder (I will substitute milk for the half and half)
Johnny Carinos Italian Chili

I am also going to try this recipe for Olive Garden Breadsticks since my youngest daughter love them.

Going through different recipes is making my mouth water. I want to go make something yummy right now!

  1. I am going to have to try the corn chowder. I almost always have all those ingredients on hand and it sounds yummy! The olive garden breadsticks too of course :)
