Thanksgiving Dinner - Potential Budget Buster

I read an article by Liz Weston yesterday about some of the holiday money wasters, and the first one was one that is easy for me to get caught up in. It was spending too much on holiday dinners. When the family is all together, we enjoy cooking together and we make more expensive dishes and desserts than we have on a regular basis. It was good for me to read the article before I went shopping so I could look over what we are having and see if there are things that we really don't need that I can cut back on. I don't want to eat a lot of unhealthy food and gain weight this holiday season. Before you finish your Thanksgiving food shopping, take a moment and look over your menu and list and see if you can substitute things that are healthier or less expensive and still have a wonderful dinner.
