It snowed several inches yesterday, but I am going to just dive into my spring cleaning anyway even though it doesn't look like spring here. I started with easy rooms and cleaned the upstairs guest bathroom and bedroom yesterday. I cleaned out every shelf and cupboard and it looks better. I took all of my Christmas bags, ribbons, etc. and put them in plastic containers and got rid of seasonal stuff in the guest room closet that I won't use even if some of it is new. I washed sheets, towels and rugs. Today I think I will tackle the living room and the downstairs family room. Since the kids are in school, I am going to wait until they can try on snow pants, etc. to clean out the coat closet. I kept some extra snow pants and coats for friends or family that visit, but I need to go through them and see if they are worth keeping. I got rid of a few pairs of old shorts and shirts along with lots of seasonal items. I weeded through things and had about 2-3 grocery sized bags to get rid of. You always feel good after you clean.
