Canned corn is another pantry staple; usually I buy the store brand to keep food costs down. I was curious to see how much the taste differed from the name brand. We couldn't tell much difference between Del Monte, Libby's and Great Value, but the Hanover corn tasted gross. It was far too salty (according to the nutrition label it has twice the sodium per serving than the other three).
This is the price breakdown. Moral of this story: as long as you avoid Hanover, brand doesn't matter.
