$10 Per Week Grocery Budget - An Example Using Walmart's Regular Prices

I wrote a post several years ago that has some good advice for those on a super strict budget.  It can be found here.  I have thought about so many people who are now out of work with the coronavirus, so I thought I would do a few posts in the next couple of months to address this topic.

This video shares an example of what you can buy for $10 for the week using Walmart's regular prices.  I chose Walmart because their stores are found everywhere.  I don't usually shop there, but their prices overall are pretty good.  They don't have the markdowns that I can find elsewhere and I can get better prices on things by shopping around to other stores.  But, if you don't have the time, don't want to shop around or buy markdowns, this is the video for you.  I don't usually use coupons because of the time and frustration, but if you were a skilled couponer, you could get more food for next to nothing.  This is just one example, but there are so many options available.  For example, we prefer to save most of our grocery money by gardening because we enjoy it.  We freeze or can the surplus to last through part of the winter as well.  You just need to figure out what works best for you in your situation.
