Coronavirus Cleaning Day 15 - Last Drawer

Yesterday I worked with my husband again to do his last drawer.  He was a good sport and it only took about 5 minutes.  He also thanked me for keeping our home uncluttered.  Everyone is different when it comes to their stuff.  Different methods work for different people.  For my husband, the timer works well because he knows he is done as soon as it goes off.  I worked with a lady a few years ago that was different.  She agonized over every single piece of paper.  Frankly, I didn't know if I would ever make any headway with her.  Then, I decided to get a box and have her put the things she liked the best in the box, and the others she would get rid of.  This worked out very well.  I was surprised.  I guess it helped to focus on the things that mattered the most.  I have never met someone who has had such a hard time getting rid of anything like she did.  She must have had something happen in her life to make her feel that way.  Everyone has a story and it is important to be patient with others when working with them, as we don't ever know the impact some experiences can have on them.

How is your decluttering going?  I think I will go through our videos and DVD's today.  I got rid of most of them because you can get almost anything online these days.  I am hoping it will take me 5 minutes or less.  It is nice when things are organized!
