Living Green: Book Review: It's Easy Being Green
It's Easy Being Green is a quick reading introductory book to living a greener life that was written by a teenager. It combines loving God, loving others and taking care of our planet. I enjoyed reading it, especially written from the perspective of someone younger than I am who is a good example for me and for others and sparked ideas of things I could do in our family. This book can be read in an evening and I would suggest it for any one who is interested in starting out trying to make positive changes towards living a green lifestyle. This book helps to remind us of how our daily decisions can make a difference for good. Emma shares personal stories and shows a maturity beyond her years in her writing and desire to help others be more aware of their choices and the impact is has on the environment. What a great example she is to all of us, and especially to other teenagers showing how they can make a difference in their families and their communities. She also gives lots of ideas of simple things we can do.
Emma mentioned how she enjoyed a recycling library in her book, so I plan to donate her book to our local library so others can have the chance to read and enjoy it like I have!
Thank you Emma for your great example! Their website, Blessed Earth, can be found here if you are interested in finding out more.
