Freeganism: Getting Things for Free

Freegans make use of what others throw away.  On average, Americans consume way too much.  Freeganism is one way some people have dealt with the recession, surviving by getting things for free.  Others are out there to make a political statement about the extreme waste.  

I personally wouldn't do this, but cutting down the waste in America is a good thing and I respect their resourcefulness.  

My efforts go into cutting down the waste we generate.  If we are more careful about what we buy, how much we buy, and only buy what we need, we can do our share to reduce our carbon footprint.
