Simple Savings: Have a Staycation

Instead of an elaborate vacation this year, consider staying close to home and visiting sites within driving distance of where you live.  You won't have to pay for a hotel this way.  You can also take a picnic with you or eat at home.    You save some wear and tear on the car, save gas since you don't have to drive long distances, and you won't have to spend as much time traveling.  You also won't have to pay to board your pets while you are gone.
