Living Green - One Step at a Time: Sponge
Last time I opened the packaging from my sponge, it reeked of chemicals. I could even smell the awful smell on my hands after using dish soap to try to get the smell out. It was really strong. I wondered what alternatives there were to this, and found an idea that made sense. By skipping the sponge all together and using dish rags, I could avoid the chemicals and rewash the rags as I needed to and the sponge wouldn't end up in a landfill as it usually does when I am done with it. It was a win-win situation. I would also save money in the long run by not having to buy any more sponges.
