Menu for the Week: 2 January - 8 January

Now that the holidays are over, it is time to get back to the regular routines.  We will choose from the following meals for dinner this week:

Turkey, Mashed Potatoes and Yams and maybe stuffing
Homemade Pizza
Chicken Parmigiana
Gumbo
Goulash
Corn Chowder
Hummus and Bread
Classic Tomato Soup
Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas

I didn't list the salad, other veggies and fruits we will have on the side.  I will buy whatever is a good price tomorrow at the grocery store.

We will choose from the following for breakfasts:

Breakfast burritos
Oatmeal
Whole Grain Toast
Yogurt with fruit
Waffles
Muffins

For lunch, we will have leftovers, sandwiches (egg salad, tuna, etc.) and pizza bread. We always have carrots and a piece of fruit with lunch.

Making a menu helps me to make well balanced meals with more variety in our diet.  I also am more organized and stick to my list when I do.  Making a regular meal plan each week is a good idea for a New Year's goal if you are not doing it already.
