Simple Savings: Cook Your Halloween Pumpkin
The last two nights I have been cooking our pumpkin we got for Halloween. I spent $3.50 for it and it must have weighed at least 40 pounds. We ended up with 15 pints of pureed pumpkin. That will easily last us though the winter. The past couple of years, I have heard people talk about a shortage of pumpkin and I have noticed that the pumpkin prices don't go on sale for a good price around here. So, have fun carving your pumpkin and then cook it and save it for your Thanksgiving and Christmas pies!
