Simple Savings: Keep On Top Of Paper Clutter

I was going through restaurant coupons in one of our drawers yesterday and came across a coupon for $10 off $50 at our local grocery store. I must have overlooked it in the small stack that had been accumulating, but it was still valid for a couple of days. So, this week I get 10 extra dollars of food for the $50 I usually spend.

Have you ever gone to the store and come home later to realize that you had a coupon you could have used? Have you had offers lost in a stack of papers that expired before you found them?

  1. Literally just yesterday! Went grocery shopping & forgot my measily 5 coupons. Ended up returning to the store later with the coupons & the receipt to show proof of purchase - which they honored!

  2. Jane,

I am glad they honored the coupons. How frustrating! I hope you didn't live too far from the store.

    1. Thankfully I live less than 2 miles from the grocery store so it wasn't a far drive. I'm usually so very good about "making the rounds" before I leave the house, but alas, not every time is would seem!
