A Few Simple Ideas From Peter Walsh

1.  With clothes, since you wear 20% of your clothes 80% of the time, take all your clothing and turn the hangers the opposite way.  For the next 6 months, each time you wear something, turn the hanger back the right way.  At the end of the six months, whatever you haven't worn gets donated.

2.  With kitchen gadget drawer, put all kitchen gadgets in a box.  For the next month, each time you use one, put it back into the drawer.  Whatever is left in the box after a month doesn't need to be kept any more.

3.  If you have a lot of something and are having a lot of difficulty getting rid of some, keep 4 and get rid of one, keep 4 more then get rid of one more, etc.  After a short time of doing this, you will have things weeded out enough to be a manageable amount.  You can do this with books, toys, magazines, CD's, DVD's, etc.

  1. Love the suggestion for the kitchen gadget drawer. I did this with my bathroom drawer (make up, lotions, cleanser, etc) and it worked great.
