$50 Grocery Challenge - Spent $49.91

We got some garden produce from a friend of ours.  They have a really nice garden each year.  I also canned some 3 bean salad yesterday from our own beans.  We got the eggs from our friends who have chickens for $2.00.  I also got some bulk celery seed to make the 3 bean salad that cost 27 cents, but it is not pictured.
I don't get why one picture worked and the other didn't!  I spend the other $47.64 on the groceries in this picture. The grand total was $49.91.

Breakdown:
3.74    Organic Chocolate chips - bulk
18.38  ( 5) grill packages of chicken
2.98   (2) two pound packages of carrots
    .88    (2) Bell Peppers
   1.52    Tilamook sour cream
2.48    Strawberry Yogurt Yoplait 32 oz.
   1.50    Bananas
4.52    4 pack of Hidden Valley Ranch Powder
     .50    Garlic bulb
   1.22    Pinto Beans
     .73    Split Peas
     .94    Lentils
   1.18    Black Beans
   1.22    Great Northern Beans
   1.44    Red Beans
   1.44    Navy Beans
   2.99    Kraft light Mayonnaise

I was able to stock up on meat and beans since we didn't have to buy a lot of produce this month.  It is nice to have the extra food.

  1. I'm jealous of your delicious looking garden veggies! Oh, and I think the whole sideways picture thing should be your trademark or something ;) I mean, the owl is cute, but the pics are funny!
