What's for Dinner Tonight? Homemade Mac & Cheese

I have been looking for a good Mac & Cheese recipe that my husband would like.  I tried this one without the peas and ham.  It was pretty good, but isn't inexpensive to make.  It has 3 cups of cheese in it and frankly I don't think that you can't make it for less than you can buy a package of name brand Mac & Cheese, unless you can find the cheese for free.  At least you know what is in it if you make it yourself.  And, if you calculate the cost of a meal for a family of 4-6, this doesn't cost as much as a dinner with meat.
