(Another) 50 Dollar Grocery Challenge- Spent $39.23

I apologize for the pictures: our house doesn't have the best lighting, especially at night! I will usually go to two stores, King Soopers and Albertsons, because they are the closest to my house.

Store 1: King Soopers (remember they match manufacturers coupons up to a dollar!)
FREE    (6) Ronzini Pastas ($1 each, used 6 $1 off 2 coupons accidentally, rather than 3. Don't know why the cashier let me do that, but it's awesome that he let me get them for free! )
2.99    Smart Balance Lactose Free Milk
1.00    Minute Maid Lemonade
1.99    Trop50 Orange Juice ($.050 coupon, doubled to 1.00 off)
2.80    (6) Yoplait Yogurt ($0.60 each, $0.40 coupon, doubled)
2.00    (2) Bell Peppers
2.50    Kroger Bratwursts
3.97    (3) Mission Tortillas (found a $1.00 coupon on each bag at the store)
2.00    (2) Boulder Chips ($1.50 each, $1.00 off 2 coupon
2.29    Berry Colossal Crunch ($2.79 originally, $1.00 off 2 coupon)
1.94    Honey Nut Scooters ($2.79 originally, $1.00 off 2 coupon)

Total: 23.48

Store 2: Albertsons
3.00     (4) Suddenly Salad ($1.00 each, two $0.50 off two coupons)
FREE  Tony's Pizza (1.00, used in-ad coupon for $1.00 off any pizza)
1.99     Goldfish
3.96     (2) Milk ($1.98 each)
1.00     Root Beer
0.86     Albertsons Granola (1.86, used in-ad coupon for $1.00 off any cereal)
0.95     Bananas

Total: 11.76

I usually don't get soda, but it's my husband's first week at work, and so I'm splurging a little. That's also why I got the lemonade and orange juice. I'm definitely still stuck in student mode! And, I prefer water, myself. I'm sure as the weeks go on I will start getting more of the 'good stuff', which I'm sure my husband won't mind at all.

Store 3: Costco

3.99   Organic Lettuce (I get this bi-weekly)

Total: 3.99

You might notice I didn't get a lot of produce- I will be going to the farmers market on Saturday to spend some of the extra money, and if I can't find any, I will just pick up some more at the store.

Also I didn't buy hardly an meat. I have a ton of chicken left over from the memorial day sale last week, so I will be using that for a lot of my meals. Also, I was able to get some lunch meat on a great sale, which meant I didn't have to buy it this week either.

Overall Total: $39.23
Left over for Farmer's Market: $10.77

I'm sure there are a lot of other great deals out there. I'd love to hear about your shopping trip!
