I shopped early this week for the $5 pantry challenge, so I could take advantage of Albertson's double coupons. Wow, if we had a store that did double coupons or triple coupons, I could spend a lot less on groceries! I called the corporate office at Albertson's to find out about doubling coupons, to see what they are supposed to do if the item cost less than the doubled amount. He said that they adjust the store coupon so the item is free and there is no overage. In the past, they haven't let me use coupons if the price of the item is less than the amount doubled. They also wouldn't adjust the price, but now they do. I am glad I called!
