Kellogg's is offering a Buy 1 Get 1 Free box of cereal. I love to make Special K treats. I got this recipe from a friend when I was in college. It is an easy recipe to make and tastes yummy.
Special K Treats:
1/2 cup Karo light corn syrup
1/2 cup white sugar
Place in saucepan and heat until sugar is dissolved. You don't want it to boil.
Add 3/4 cup peanut butter and stir.
Take off heat and add about 5 cups of Special K. Mix well and place in greased 9x9 pan.
Melt 2/3 cup chocolate chips and 2/3 cup butterscotch chips in a small pan on low. When melted, spread over Special K mixture in pan. Let cool until chocolate is hardened. Cut and enjoy!
(If you don't have Special K, you can substitute with Rice Krispies.)
