What's For Dinner Tonight?
Tonight I am making Chicken Fettuccine because I need to use up some free cream cheese I got last week. I had a pound of chicken tenders, so I used them instead of the chicken breasts it calls for. I cooked the chicken part way before putting it into the crock pot, and I only cooked it in the crock pot for 1 1/2 hours because it was done. I added the rest of the ingredients, heated it up and will serve it over Linguine noodles since I don't have fettuccine noodles. If you only have spaghetti noodles or any other pasta, you can use that too. It really doesn't matter. If you don't have a crockpot, cook the chicken on 350 for about 15 to 20 minutes and then add the butter and seasoning and cook for another 30-40 minutes or until done. Then add the cream cheese, cream of chicken and water and cook in oven for about 15 minutes until completely warm. These are just estimates, so do what works best for you. As you can tell, I substitute if I don't have something instead of making another trip to the store. I had some Parmesan cheese in the house, so I added it on top. I am making it ahead of time, since we have a busy night!
