1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups flour (heaping)
Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and mix until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix. Chill dough to make it easier to work with if desired. Roll out and cut into shapes and bake on a greased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
