Simple Ways to Save - Set Limits
Another way to save is by setting limits. I started couponing a few months ago. There are lots of good deals out there and it is easy to go crazy at first. I set a limit of $50 per week to feed our family of four. (2 adults, 2 teenagers) I also set a limit of $50 per month for household and pets. By doing this, I have the freedom to buy whatever I want in those limits, but when it is gone I have to stop. If you get carried away one week, having to eat the stuff you bought instead of going out and buying more will help you to realize what you need to do differently next week. You aren't spending wisely or saving money if your spending is out of control and you go over budget each month even with great deals. If you find your budget is too tight, maybe you need to spend a little more. If you have more than you need, tighten it up a little bit. You want to have a comfortable limit and be willing to change if it is not working. It may take a few months to figure out what is best so don't get frustrated.
