Simple Savings: Use After Season Chocolate to Bake With

A couple of weeks ago, one of our stores had their after season candy for 75 percent off.  I bought peanut butter cups, kisses and M&M's for around 75 cents per bag.  We have used the M&M's in chocolate chip cookies.  We cut up the peanut butter cups and put them in peanut butter cookies.  We used the kisses for either peanut butter kiss cookies or chocolate peanut butter kiss cookies.  Chocolate chips run about $2.50-$3.00 per 12 oz. bag here.  I am saving about 60-75 percent by buying the after Easter candy instead of the chocolate chips.  I froze the rest of the chocolates to use in the future.
