$50 Grocery Challenge - Spent $51.00

I went over budget today and I know why. I was starving this morning when I went shopping and got several things that I didn't need. I bought english muffins for 99 cents instead of taking 1 1/2 hours to make some. I also bought organic chocolate milk and little purple potatoes that cost over 2 dollars each and weren't on my list. I bought more chilies than I needed and knew that I would probably end up going over, but I didn't care. I didn't put anything back so I could stay under $50. So, going to the store when you are hungry is not a good idea and buying several things that aren't on your list is also not a good idea, and buying more than you plan of the items on your list isn't a good idea. Here is the breakdown:

English Muffins 99 cents
Beef Stew $4.45
Chicken Thighs $6.57
Smoked Sausage $3.43
Avocados (2) 1.78 (89 each)
Bananas $1.37

Total at Rosauer's was $22.08

How did you do this week? Did you get some great deals or stay in your budget?
